 Are you me? Had mine replaced at the age of 24, due to a congenital defect but I did get an artificial valve, so now I tick like a clock. Was there any particular reason you didn't go for the artificial valve? Not the same person, but my wife had a bovine bioprosthesis because she wanted to have kids without being on anticoagulants. Now, 9 years and 3 boys later, we are replacing it with a mechanical valve in 3 months. When they pulled the valve out, it wound up being UNIcuspid, which is pretty uncommon. The worst aortic valve is bicuspid apparently. So I guess it makes sense that mine crapped out on me so early. My brother had a unicuspid aortic valve as well! He also had the murmur/leakage problem (he was extremely premature, I guess murmurs are common in that case?), and found out it was unicuspid while preparing for an unrelated surgery. A few months after he had it replaced, my dad had the same surgery, but for a “normal” bicuspid aortic valve (“normal” = the more common presentation of aortic valve malformation). I’m curious about the genetics of it (and I should probably get myself checked out).

 Amy Schumer has calmed it down for the last couple of years, but her "comedy" was a lot of getting blackout drunk and doing stupid things.
