Agreed about the "valley" section of Yosemite, but the park is quite massive and you can get outta the heavily trafficked and constructed area and get to more remote areas that IMO are the best parts of Yosemite. If you take Tioga Road away from the valley, you hit all kinds of trails that are less trafficked that hit mountains, beautiful meadows, canyons, and a bunch of mountain lakes. If you do the Mt Dana hike, you get a 360 view of the park as it changes from Alpine forest to desert terrain, which is also where the Inyo National Forest begins. I would put Yosemite at the top, then Zion. Both of those have an abundance of beautiful hikes of varying difficulty. It's also possible to do both as a shorter visit with light hiking and still get a good sense of the grandeur. Grand Canyon was amazing as a shorter visit unless you are one of the hikes to the bottom and back up people. There are lots more still on my list to visit!
