 I am in my 50's and my entire adult life has been endless war, terrorism, lying govt, corrupt politicians, large corporations, religious fundamentalism, a ridiculous war on drugs, bigotry, and hate too! Not so much about the environment, things were real nasty in the '70s, and the Cuyahoga River actually caught fire. Never a pandemic, that is a thing. But then again I figured Russia was going to nuke us before the '90s. I wish you and your generation luck and blessings. I wanted you to know, it has been this way a long time. This may be a weak attempt to make you feel better, but there you have it. Through it, all we have persevered, continue to get laid, continue to get tanked, and shared a zillion laughs and tears. You are not going to change the world, but I hope you find a good balance in your universe. You can vote, that is about it. Being mad about all the things you will never be able to change is like being mad at the ocean. I hope you do not waste your life punching at the waves. Peace to you. Same age here, but I had a string of jobs where I got screwed over via store closings, owner retirements, and the like. Some people understand, but a lot of older people don't quite grasp how often and how hard our generation has gotten screwed over despite the lack of a World War and a draft.
