The Boruto series reminds me of a lot of the early episodes of naruto before Shippuden. Hopefully, they follow the same steps and give boruto his “Shippuden” to make his story better Naruto was such a trip. Unlike other long-running shows, the cast kind of grew up with you. I was 10-13 when Naruto was a Genin. When Naruto was in his 15-16, I was also experiencing teenagehood. Now he's an adult with responsibilities like me! Albeit I don't have a 13-year-old kid, but still.
