 I'm the same age as you, my entire adult life has known...endless war, lying govt., corrupt politicians, large corporations that give their workers the bare minimum, a worsening environment, religious fundamentalism, a ridiculous war on drugs, out of control military spending, bigotry and hate, divide and conquer. I wish people took all of that into consideration when shit-talking our generation. We've had it rough, man. But we still keep on keeping on. I, for one, think it's pretty admirable how hard-working and selfless most Millenials are, especially when they/we have every right not to be. May parents will go on about Vietnam, which was horrible, but completely ignore the fact that the US has been at war my entire adult life (graduated HS in 2002). Sure there was a draft but it just put poor kids on the frontline because they didn’t have college deferments. Just like we still put poor kids on the front line because the military is seen as a way out of poverty. People shit talk every generation other than their own, but I honestly think Millenials get shit on the most, forgetting that millennials are now, what, 40 - 25? and half the behavior they complain about is no longer exhibited. Gen Z is coming up in the workforce and the boomers will complain about them too, saying the exact same things, or worse.
