They told me this story as "proof" of miracles and God's power and the whole "he has a plan for everyone" I was speechless the whole time. Well, yeah, but god lets 25,000+ children die of starvation every day. That does not stop Americans from saying grace because this is all about groveling. Who gives a shit what god does to other people? If god is doing good things for me, that is proof of god's approval of me. Every time a Christian says "I am blessed . . . " what they are really saying is: "I am favored in god's eyes." And, they piously do it all the time, seemingly oblivious to their own MASSIVE egos and utterly indifferent to the suffering of their fellow humans.
