 This makes me a little sad, personally... my step-grandfather passed about 3 years ago. Really, he was my grandfather for all intents & purposes, the man was a saint & one one of the best men I've had the pleasure of knowing.My grandma moved in with my parents after he passed and she's been feeling pretty lonely, as can be expected. What wasn't expected was that she reconnected with my biological grandfather, some forty or so years after they originally divorced and could not stand to be in the same room with one other.They've both lost partners and he is not a part of our family and he's not pushing her for anything romantic, it just seems like he wants a partner, that he shares memories with, to share their final years together. It's sweet and sad. She's torn because she is lonely and I think she is missing that companionship something fierce, but she thinks that going back to her first husband will be dishonouring the life she built with my step-grandfather? I wish they could find some happiness like these people.
